    InPost debated the postal service market issue in Brussels

    InPost - the largest independent postal operator with nationwide coverage, belonging to capital group - attended the European Postal Services – a conference of the European postal service providers held on 22-24 of March 2010 in Brussels. The event has been gathering representatives of postal industry from around the world for thirteen years. The main subject of this year’s conference was the condition of postal service market at the time of economic crisis.

    Rafal Brzoska ,CEO of InPost, made his presence felt at the conference by giving a lecture, with the title: "Speed improvement and delivery cost reduction ." The main goal of the presentation was to demonstrate the situation of Polish e-commerce sector which arouses postal operators’ interest and to present innovative servicesoffered by InPost- Paczkomaty 24 / 7, hybrid mail, mobile payments and e-invoices.

    "The European Postal Services conference is a very important business event, which has a chance to contribute to positive change in this sector. The conference was an excellent opportunity for international representatives of the postal market to participate not only in plenary discussions, but also in many important unofficial conversations. Moreover, due to   the speech given at the conference we presented InPost once again in the international forum and showed its major achievements and plans for the products and services development"- said Rafal Brzoska, CEO of InPost.

    Decrease in the number of sent mail, caused by the economic crisis, was an opportunity to discuss in the international forum issues such as: operatingcost reductions, strengthen and expansion of product offer and the growthof revenue by diversifying the portfolio of services. Representatives had also an opportunity to present their views on the liberalization and legal and regulatory procedures.

    The principal issues raised at the European Postal Services conference:
