"In terms of parcel lockers' share in serving e-commerce market, Poland is unique on a global scale, and Paczkomaty have constantly been increasing its share in the market. During the periods the highest demand for services, the use of the entire network reaches 100%, hence the decision to speed up the investment in its development. We consistently implement this strategy, focusing also on smaller towns which have a great – in my opinion underestimated - potential" – said Rafał Brzoska.
"There isn't a week when we don't get requests from towns all over Poland to place a new or another Paczkomat®. Our plant in Zabierzów near Cracow operates non stop in order to process all orders" – points Rafał Brzoska.
Brzoska adds that Paczkomat permanently outclassesed deliveries by post and is the second most popular form of delivery of online purchases for the e-commerce sector.
According to the Gemius Report: E-Commerce in Poland in 2017 - Paczkomat InPost is the second, after couriers deliveries, most popular form of delivery of online shopping. In 2017 it was chosen by 22% of customers, while in 2015 it was 11%. Thus, parcel lockers outclassed delivery by post, which in 2015 were chosen by 21%, and in 2017 by only 13% of online buyers.
What's important, currently 50% of Polish e-commerce customers indicate Paczkomat® InPost as a form of delivery motivating to shop online, while 2 years ago it was 41% of people.
