    Press release                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     15th July

InPost installs ‘click and collect’ parcel lockers at Victoria Coach Station

    • Universal collection service can be used with any retailer
    • ASOS is working with InPost on new ‘click and collect’ service
    • Fast approaching the planned 1,000 UK locker milestone

InPost, the global operator of a 24/7 parcel locker network, has installed its own independent automated parcel lockers at Victoria Coach Station, one of the busiest transport hubs in the UK. The new lockers will offer flexible parcel collection and dispatch services to the 12 million passengers who travel through the station every year – and are available for use by and with any retailer or seller.

Following the successful first installation of lockers at London Underground station, Buckhurst Hill in May, Victoria Coach Station is a big step forward for InPost, which is looking to install lockers at approximately 40 further Transport for London sites over the next few months.

Matt Rogers, director of delivery solutions at, said: “We’re delighted to see InPost securing locations such as Victoria Coach Station. We are working with InPost to integrate these locations into our checkout to offer our customers a wider choice of collection points. We look forward to developing our click and collect offer with InPost and hope to be able to offer these services later this summer."

Michelle De Pasquale, commercial director at InPost, comments: “InPost is the perfect partner for busy commuters. Our lockers offer our customers convenience and Victoria Coach Station is a fantastic site for the thousands of commuters that pass through the station each day. People don’t want to wait in all day for their parcel to arrive; and now, with our ever growing network, they don’t have to.”

The InPost system is ideal for consumers, the retail sector, business-to-business applications and other markets, where ease of parcel collection and dispatch is crucial. The lockers are all installed in well-lit locations and are constantly monitored by live CCTV cameras. Customers are able to place orders online from a range of different retailers which they can then collect safely and securely from a local site, at a time that suits them.

Graeme Craig, director of commercial development at TfL, said: “It’s fantastic that InPost has launched its latest parcel lockers in our network at Victoria Coach Station, making it easier for customers to order an item online and then collect it as they travel on the network. We are increasingly working with a range of world-class retailers to provide the goods and services that our customers want, generating revenues for us to reinvest back into our transport network.”

Since launching in April 2013, InPost has seen rapid growth and is the largest network of its kind in the UK. InPost now boasts close to 1,000 collection points across the UK and this rapid expansion is set to continue with the company intending to open in excess of 2,000 sites in the UK by the end of 2015. InPost recently signed a partnership agreement with Morrisons Supermarket, which will see locker terminals placed at a number of sites across the UK.
