Polish and foreign investors acquired all shares Group, the leading Polish postal company, standing behind the InPost parcel lockers network provider, and also an independent financial and insurance operator, has completed the private placement directed to Polish and foreign institutional investors. In total, the company raised approximately PLN 147m (EUR 34.5m). The funds are to be used for expansion of the InPost parcel lockers network in Poland and abroad. Group offered 296.886 series I new ordinary bearer shares, of a nominal value of PLN 1 and 292.771 series J new ordinary bearer shares, of a nominal value PLN 1 each, as a part of a private placement carried out in Poland and addressed to fewer than 150 selected institutional investors. The private placement was completed through an accelerated book building process among the selected investors.

WOOD & Co. was the Sole Global Coordinator and Sole Bookrunner.

The significant broadening of the shareholders’ base, encompassing foreign institutional investors (approximately half of all investors in the private placement) constituted yet another milestone for the Group. The international expansion of InPost parcel terminals is the top priority, considering the double-digit growth being seen in the e-commerce sector. We want to be one of the leading players in this new high-growth segment. In recent months we have been exploring and contracting locations for new machines - over 500 new terminals. We have a strategy to provide about 3,500 machines in different countries in 2013. The investment is estimated to be about 70 million euros. Therefore, we’re not ruling out further undertakings aimed at funding the Group’s development, especially if investors’ interest continues to be as significant as in this placement”, said Rafał Brzoska, CEO of the Group.

The commercial launch of InPost parcel lockers in the UK at the end of April 2013 initiated a new sales strategy regarding the automated terminals. The combined business model - based on open collaboration with partners and developing own international network of InPost parcel lockers will be continued abroad. The UK aside, the plans for 2013 include France, Hungary, Turkey, Norway and Sweden. Furthermore, over the next two years InPost parcel lockers may also be accessible in the Americas, and later also in Asia. All these projects may reach up to 1 billion euros. Group generated a PLN 83m revenue in the first quarter of 2013, up 9.6% year-on-year, with net profit of PLN 5.68m. The consolidated earnings per share amounted to PLN 1.29.

The company’s strong market position has been confirmed by the 7th position (in comparison with the 16th in 2011, and 277th in 2010) in the ranking by Puls Biznesu (one of the opinion leaders among business dailies in Poland) of the “WSE Listed company of 2012”.
